Research shows that the most efficient way of learning to drive is to have frequent tuition in blocks of between 1.5 and 3 hours. For example 3 x 2 hours lessons a week during college holidays would be ideal.
Learning to drive requires enormous amounts of concentration especially whilst on the move. It is difficult for anyone to keep this up all-day and then day after day as well. So fully intensive courses may not be the best option. However you’ll keep your nerves and get better value for money with frequent 2hr sessions. Give us a call to see what can be arranged. A special discount is usually available for semi-intensive tuition paid for up front.
Some driving schools offer "cut-price" intensive courses by sharing a car and instructor with another pupil – in other words you take turns. Alternatively some of your tuition may be classroom based or use simulators. Whilst sitting in the back of the car you are unlikely to learn as much - apart from the way round town! There is usually no guarantee you will qualify and you may end up re-taking the practical test after more ‘by the hour tuition’ anyway.
